Sane Social Media

Smart & Sustainable Storytelling

Think of social media like the telephone: it’s a two-way communication tool. There's no need to be a free entertainer for giant tech companies. You can work to continually create connection and community. Then move audiences to engage with you more deeply via DMs/email and your website.

Hi! I’m Tony

We started in 2013 as a social media education company. As I traveled with the revival tour of Evita, I would teach a 90-minute keynote to colleges and universities along the way.

As an artist, what I loved about the beginnings of social media was the democratization of power and information — you no longer needed permission to share your voice or an opportunity to connect with an audience.

What we now know is social media also has dangerous minefields. It can sneakily consume hours of your day, affect your mental health, and even sway elections.

Jonathan and I routinely meet to discuss the state of the world and WWW. We’ve found ways to customize social media for each person in each chapter of their life.
