About Dan Thaler
For 20 years, Dan Thaler has maintained a private voice studio in New York City, teaching both in person lessons and virtual lessons around the world. His students have had great success on some of the world's great stages including Broadway and Off-Broadway, on Broadway National Tours, all the U.S regional houses, London's West End, Carnegie Hall, The Metropolitan Opera, Chicago Lyric Opera, Teatro Real Madrid, Vienna Statsoper, Berlin Komischeoper, London's Covent Garden, The National Theatre of Norway, Sweden's Östgöta Theater, and The Grand Theater of Shanghai. Dan's students have been honored with some of the highest industry accolades including the Tony, Grammy, and Emmy Awards, the Peabody Award and the Pulitzer Prize.
Dan has made a specialty of helping guide young singers in their singing journey. In addition to having many kids on Broadway, he has helped young talent in preparation for and acceptance into all the major music theater conservatory programs and has also helped guide many recent graduates of those programs into professional careers. And he has had several state winners and national finalists for the Jimmy’s!
In addition to professionals, Dan is proud to have a diverse studio of singers of all ages and levels. He is committed to bringing the great joy of singing and discovering one's voice to as many people as possible.
